Cleaning your teeth…
Plaque is the cause of many dental diseases such as gum disease and tooth decay.
Effective daily plaque removal can reduce your risks to these diseases.
Below are some tips to help you with your daily home care routine
Toothbrushing
Spend 2-3 minutes brushing your teeth using a fluoride toothpaste.
Use a small headed tooth brush with soft to medium bristles.
Spit out after brushing and avoid rinsing.
Replace your toothbrush every 3 months.
Interdental Cleaning
Your toothbrush can not normally clean in between your teeth. For this you should use floss or interdental brushes. Try to clean at least once daily. After tooth brushing, clean in between your teeth spending about 2-3 minutes.
Interdental brushes come in a variety of sizes with different handle styles. They can be easier and more effective to use than floss, where there are spaces between teeth. If there are no spaces avoid using interdental brushes as you may cause damage.
